I just wanted to add a side note to anyone looking at taking lessons but waiting for the water to warm up. My lessons took place on May 20th and 21st the high temp was 72-75 degrees and the water temp was a chilly 51. I had an NPX Assassin 4-3 wetsuit and the coldest part of my day was taking that wetsuit off. In fact I think I was warmer at one point then Bob was in his dry suit lol. So don’t wait have Bob at the Kite Ranch hook you up with one of these awesome NPX Assassin wetsuits and get out to the Ranch and get your season started earlier."

"Bob & Billie, I wanted to thank you for an awesome time!! I had taken Kite Surfing lessons on two separate occasions, one in Maui (2 years ago) and one on a high mountain lake. I've not had NEAR the level of instruction on my previous lessons that John and Bob gave me. I flew the kite on the beach the first day and really enjoyed it, learning to fly it and gain confidence on the sand really ramped up my learning curve. Not to mention it was a blast! John then helped me get up on my board behind the jet ski & his patience & encouragement was a big help. Then the next day I went out with Bob & got in the water. After Bob's instruction I got into the board & 'went at it'. Being out in the middle of 'Big Mac' & having Bob right there really was awesome. After working at it for over an hour, with limited success, Bob finally said "Fly that Kite like you Mean it!" & I got up & rode for over 100 feet! It was awesome! I am definitely hooked! During the last round of body dragging I got a good feel for the power stroke. I realized how important it is to learn how to fly the kite well before I jump on a board. "I took lessons with John this last weekend and I would like to first thank you both for taking me on at such a short notice. Second I would like to say that John was the best instructor I have ever worked with. I landboard and snowkite but I couldn’t seem to get myself in the water. John worked with me on body dragging for around an hour or so and then got me into deeper water doing water starts and eventually up and riding (downwind). I never though that I would be up and riding in less than a half a day. John was very patient and I would/will recommend him/your classes to anyone who wants to get out, up and riding.
